2023 HU-SNU-NTNU-KU Joint Symposium for Science Education: Science Education for Sustainable Development in an Aging Society with Low Birthrate

The science education session has been ongoing for over 10 years, expanding to four countries where joint symposiums are held: HU in Japan, NTNU in Taiwan, Kasetsart University in Thailand, and SNU in Korea.
This year's topic is 'Science Education for Sustainable Development in an Aging Society with a Low Birthrate.' The challenges posed by aging populations and declining birthrates have become significant concerns in many countries. We believe that all four countries share similar issues such as generational disconnects. Additionally, the rapid advancement of the Internet and AI technology may further widen the digital divide and exacerbate these generational gaps. The science education researchers from the four countries will come together to discuss and explore ways to address these issues through the lens of sustainable development in education.
